It made me feel great that my mother took such care of my hair. And it was always a warm feeling
when my mother would bring me close to her. She would spend a good twenty minutes with us
every morning, just doing each one's hair individually. I remember also that she would put different
color ribbons in our hair, especially for fiestas....
